We are constrained to it, that it’s not possible to shun it, unfortunately or fortunately. The truth is we are all in search of happiness and peace but in the wrong direction!

As an example, evident from Mr.Bean’s episodes, happiness and peace are inner-self’s choice of behavior.

Let’s see how to conquer the topic!

Simple Five Steps to lead a Peaceful Life:

1. Meditate:

The world’s best mental medicine is meditation. It’s a discipline to get hold of mindfulness or focusing the mind in intent of achieving a mentally clear, emotionally calm and stable state. It is the path to enlightenment and self-realizing.

Meditation can be:

a. Concentration Meditation:

It’s a way of making the mind to focus on a single point or object. It can be done by repeating a single word or mantra, listening to equal gongs, or similar aspects. As by doing this, you make your wandering mind to fully focus on that single point, thereby increasing your concentration.

b. Mindfulness Meditation:

Mindfulness meditation encourages the practitioner to observe wandering thoughts as they drift through the mind, to be aware of it. The motive is to, analyse and calm your wandering thoughts and feelings in the mind. Over time, you can become more aware of the human tendency to quickly judge an experience as good or bad, pleasant or unpleasant. With practice, an inner balance develops.

Medically it also aids to:

  • Lower blood pressure

  • Improved blood circulation

  • Lower heart rate

  • Less perspiration

  • Slower respiratory rate

  • Less anxiety

  • Lower blood cortisol levels

  • More feelings of well-being

  • Less stress

  • Deeper relaxation

Meditation gives you a state of mind, that helps you to put-forth the problems or happenings and sort it out to resolve it in a sheer facet.

2. Exercise:

Exercise is a means of boosting your body. It’s any bodily activity that enhances or maintains physical fitness, health and wellness. The question is how it can be related to a peaceful-mind? To answer it, Exercising and sweating out is a way of reprieving out of all unnecessary wandering thoughts from the mind. Exercising has proven to be a healthy one both physically and mentally. It’s a best-way to kick-out all the mind riddles. Sport is also an exercise.

A goal of exercising 30 minutes a day, 5 times a week may sound good.

3. Plan-out:

The hefty stumbling block, most of us faces is not knowing to do the works in apple-pie order.

Planning out things of your day, at the start of it, will help you to be clearer about your works and helps you to finish it without stuck. As days starts, one might have number of thoughts to do in the day and clicking on to that, anxiety to finish it all within a day. Planning serves to save time and to sort out things that can or can’t be done. So, How to plan-out?

a. List of doings: Make a list of all the things(may it be exercise or reading), headed up for the day. This might not take even two minutes but it reflects the day in brief, so that you can be clear and confident of your happenings.

b. Sorting it out: After listing out, arrange the things distinctly that can be done shortly, say within half-an-hour and those things that need special attention to, say consuming more than an hour.

c. Seeing out your empty times: Fit your short-term doings in your open times, so that, you need not worry of having no time to finish hefty things. This also helps to fix your entire day productive.

d. Schedule things: Make best time-slots for your doings, predicting the time it would consume. Summon-up that your doings shouldn’t exceed the predicted time by more than 15 minutes. This would force you to finish it on time, ignoring the distractions. Having a timer, at regular periods also sounds good to get through this.

4. Hear your inner-self:

Inner self is the voice of your mind. As humans evolved as a sixth sense being, they are incorporated with this inner-voice that aids to differentiate good and bad unlike other beings. Also called internal monologue provides a running verbal monologue of thoughts while they are conscious. It is particularly important in planning, problem solving, self-reflection, self-image.

Your inner-self constantly speaks over you on specific things. It addresses you as a third person, making it clear on your behaviors and characters. Listen to it. Inner voices are the instincts of your soul. But be sure that it may also get you to critical thinking, emotions,[2] and subvocalization (reading in one's head). Have a limiting behaviour to your voices.

5. Make time for nature:

Research has repeatedly suggested that spending time in natural environments improves mental and physical well-being. So, what would happen if you spend time in nature?

Spending time in nature makes you a nice person, empathizing with others around you. Researches say that performing a task inside a room may be monotonous to our brains and our minds don’t get the required stimulation to be sharp.

Nature & its happenings hints you a solution for your problems to the best. Nature also cures stress and anxiety. A study performed by researchers at the University of Essex found that taking a walk in nature lowered the depression scores in 71 percent of participants. “Ecotherapy,” a form of therapy that uses nature as a tool, is gaining prominence amongst the mental health community
